We
decided to overnight at the Club. The festivities began at 4:00 PM with an

Dinner was at 9:00 PM
Years ago I had given Jutta a simple necklace of three
silver links on a gold wire, asking her to wear it as a
recognition that our lives were linked.
This year, I asked a jeweler friend to have those links
set in diamonds in recognition of our beginning a new
millennium together. She was pleased.

The Band Played Glenn Miller and Rock & Roll!
With a little Cab Calloway and Duke Ellington thrown in.

Hello, 2000!
Jutta had glued "sparkles" on her cheek.

We took time out on the balcony for me to
celebrate with a cigar and Jutta to wear
her wrap.

Next morning, it was time for a big breakfast
(including complimentary Bloody Marys) and
to agree that a good time was had by all.
Happy New Year!

At Home

Jutta decided to celebrate our first dinner at home of the new
millennium, and began by admiring our tree.

Karen and Salo gave us the Champagne 2000
glasses. Leaving the low-fat dressing bottle in the
shot did not do much for the image!

Jutta in her "at home" dinner dress. I think she
borrowed it from the Empress Josephine.

And one last look at the Dickens Village
Happy 2000!
